Mrs. Carl E. (Mattie S.) Abrahamson died at 1 a.m. Friday, April 16, 1993, at Sterling Place. She was 91, a longtime resident of Baton Rouge and a native of Downsville.

Visiting at Welsh Funeral Home chapel, 6700 Florida Blvd., until religious services, conducted by the Rev. Chris Andrews. Burial in National Cemetery.

Preceded in death by husband, Carl E. Abrahamson.

She was a longtime member of First United Methodist Church, past Worthy Matron of Baton Rouge Chapter No. 163 of Order of the Eastern Star and past Grand Marshal of the State of Louisiana Order of the Eastern Star.

Memorial donations may be made to First United Methodist Church "Building Believers" Fund, 930 North Boulevard, 70802.
