Lorena Garrard Brown

Mrs. Lorena Garrard Brown, 90, of Carrollton, died of heart failure Sunday, August 18, 1996, at Tyler Holmes Memorial Hospital in Winona.

Mrs. Brown was a housewife and was married to the late Edgar Brown.

Funeral services were held at 2:00 p.m. Wednesday, August 21, at Mt. Pisgah Baptist Church in Carrollton with the Rev. Gary Tanner officiating. Burial was in the church cemetery.

Mrs. Brown was preceded in death by one daughter, Essie Mae Hughey; three sons, Alton Brown, Eldred Brown and Coles Brown.

She is survived by one daughter, Gloria Moore of Carrollton; one son, Noble Brown of Winona; two sisters, Agnes Nunley and Sam Clark, both of Carrollton; 20 grandchildren; 32 great-grandchildren; and two great-great-grandchildren.

Pallbearers were grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

National Funeral Home of Grenada was in charge of arrangements.
