Gloria Brown Moore

Gloria Brown Moore, 80, of Carrollton, MS died Tuesday, February 25, 2015 at University of Mississippi Medical Center in Grenada. Services will be 11 a.m. Friday, February 27, 2015 at Mt. Pisgah Baptist Church in Carroll County. Visitation will be from 9:30 a.m. until service time at the church. Burial will be in Moore’s Memorial Cemetery, Rev. Lanny Haley will officiate.

Mrs. Moore was born June 30, 1934 to Samuel Edgar and Lorena Garrard Brown in Carroll County. She was a lifelong resident of Carroll County and a member of Mt. Pisgah Baptist Church. She was preceded in death by her husband Douglas Moore, her parents, sister Essie Mae Brown Hughey, brothers Alton Brown, James E. Brown and Coles Brown.

Mrs. Moore is survived by her son Brad Moore and wife Tori of Greenwood, her daughters Rhonda M. Beck of Carrollton, Paula M. Wiggins and husband Carl of Carrollton, Karon M. Brooks and husband Berry of Greenwood. Her grandchildren Scott Beck, Jeremy Beck, John Beck, Tunya Wells, Shannon Wiggins, April Moore, Braxton Moore, Kyle Moore, Gabby Denton, Colby Denton, Jennifer Raby, and Melissa Brooks. She is also survived by her great grandchildren Jennifer Beck, Mari Kathryn Beck, Allie Beck, John Lane Beck, Grayson Wells, Allyson Wells, Devin Wiggins, Eli Wiggins, Madison Collett, and Tyler Brooks and her brother Noble Brown of Winona, MS.

Pallbearers will be her grandsons Scott Beck, Jeremy Beck, and John Beck, Shannon Wiggins, Braxton Moore, Kyle Moore, and Colby Denton. Honorary pallbearers will be David Brown, Mt. Pisgah Senior Adult Sunday School Class. In lieu of flowers memorials may be made to Moore’s Memorial Cemetery or Mt. Pisgah Baptist Church Building Fund, 397 County Road 41, Carrollton, MS 38917.
