Death of Mrs. L. C. Bouton
Mrs. Georgia Bouton, aged 38 years, wife of Lyman] C. Bouton, proprietor of the Central hotel, died of appendicitis at 3 o'clock this morning after a week's illness.
Mrs. Bouton was taken sick Sunday, August 3, and was operated upon last Friday. She was thought to be doing well until yesterday when she began growing worse.
Mrs. Bouton was born in Independence, Mo. She was married in August 1885. Mr. and Mrs. Bouton moved to Lawrence in 1898 and took charge of the Central Hotel three years ago. Mrs. Bouton leaves her husband and five children, three boys and two girls.
The funeral will be held Thursday morning at Perry, Kansas, where a number of relatives are buried. Short services will be held at the hotel at 8:30 o'clock, Rev. W.G. Banker officiating.
A number of Mrs. Bouton's relatives are expected to arrive tomorrow for the funeral.--Lawrence Journal.
The remains of Mrs. Bouton were brought to Perry on the 10:49 train this morning and interred in Oak Ridge cemetery. A large concourse of sorrowing friends and relatives attended the burial. Mrs. Bouton was an exemplary lady, and her death has caused much sorrow. The Mirror extends condolence to the bereaved.
