DEATH SNUFFS OUT LIFE OF YOUNG MAN
Jake Storesund Passed Away Last Saturday. This community was saddened Saturday when the report was scattered that Jake Storesund had passed away. Last Christmas he was taken sick with the flu and like many others who have experienced this dread disease never regained his former health. In hopes that a change in climate and complete rest would restore him he came to Ogden two weeks ago to his parents from his home in Sioux Falls, S.D. But the Lord's ways are not ours and he passed into eternal rest Saturday afternoon, July 9th, at the age of 33 years. Jacob Storesund was born in Ogden and his childhood and school years were spent here. He was united in marriage to Miss Lillian Peterson of Omaha, at Logan, February 3, 1917, and shortly after moved to Sioux Falls. Their marriage has been blessed with two children, Clarice 3 years old and Charles 1-1/2 years old. Those left to mourn his sudden departure are his wife and two children, his parents, two brothers and seven sisters. A twin brother and two sisters have gone before. Jake was a clean young man, brought up as he was in a Christian home, but during his sickness he realized that he needed a Saviour and accepted Christ and died happy in the assurance that his sins were forgiven. The funeral was held Monday afternoon from the Swedish Mission church conducted by the Rev. O.J. Lundell, assisted by Rev. Oscar Nelson and interment in Glenwood. Those attending the funeral from out of town were as follows, Mr. and Mrs. Oscar Frejd and daughter, Eleanor and son, Walter, of Blue Earth, Minn., Mr. and Mrs. Elton Briggs and sons, David and Ellwood, Mrs. Clyde Mullen and children, Mr. Ernest Storesund of Des Moines, Mr. and Mrs. D. Larson, Mrs. Jennie Larson, Mrs. Clara Wilkins and children, Evelyn and Louis, Mrs. Mary Warner, Mr. Herman Storesund, Mr. and Mrs. R. W. Wallace and son, Robert, all of Omaha, Mr. Clyde McPherson of Eagle Grove, Mrs. Naomi Wilson and son, Ralph, Mrs. Luscy [sic] McPherson, Mr. and Mrs. Fred Ahern, Mr. and Mrs. Waldo Hageleen and daughter, all of Boone, Mr. and Mrs. J. H. Haugge [Hauge] and children of Shephardtown.
