He served as a Missouri Pacific Railroad ticket agent in Rockdale and later in Round Rock and Hearne for 53 years before retiring. Married Gertrude Powers at Marlin on 3/24/1938. Member of First Baptist Church and of the Masonic Lodge No. 414 of Rockdale.
