Around 1928, George and Blanche divorced. In 1933 she remarried Reginald Brown, a longshoreman originally from England. They produced no children together but instead he was an excellent step-father to Blanche's children. They lived in Ferndale and Bellingham Washington, USA. Before Irene, Clayton and Gordon came of age and left home, they carried Reginald Brown's last name.
In the 1960's Reginald and Blanche bought property in Chattaroy Washington, north of Spokane and built a home. They are both buried in a cemetery near Chattaroy.
