He was a member of Ryburn Memorial Presbyterian Church, Shelby, and continued to support the church until his health failed. His education included attendance at Cleveland School and graduation later from Green Bethel High School, Boiling Springs. He was an Army veteran and was employed by Suttle's Drug with an outstanding employment record.
In addition to his parents and grandparents, he was preceded in death by two brothers, Jerry Abrams and Thomas Abrams.
He is survived by four sisters, Bettye Beasley, Carolyn Abrams and Louise Abrams of Shelby and Linda Abrams of Columbus, Ohio; one brother, Bobby Abrams of the home; four aunts, Mattie Simon of New York City, Rosemary Waddell, Juamita Oderson and Ethel Degree of Shelby; one uncle, Luther Abrams of Kentucky; and several nieces, nephews and other relatives.
Burial will be in Webb Memorial Lawns.∼US ARMY
