Corporal Michael Allan Graham was a casualty of the Vietnam War. As a member of the Army Selective Service and a Draftee, CPL Graham served our country until October 7th, 1970 in Quang Nam, South Vietnam. He was 20 years old and was married. it was reported that Michael died from small arms fire or grenade. His body was recovered. Michael was born in Shelby, NC on 12 July 1950. CPL Graham is on panel 07W, line 117 of the Vietnam Memorial Wall in Washington D.C. He served our country for less than a year.

He was a companion and friend on Oct 7,1970: Alive in the minds of those you touched. Mike's Faith was unquestionable. Although I didn't know him that well, he made an impression on me. You got the sense that he came from a strong family of faith and he had a plan for his life. He left all of us that October morning and I know the world would be a better place if he had stayed. He remains in my thoughts to this day and always. I know he is missed by all that knew him. Bill Wilcox, Blaine WA, [email protected].

Mike you are not forgotten. Your name still comes up often in family conversations and you were dearly loved. Karen Baldonado.

Rising from the earth, The great monolith, Spreading forth its wings, Calling out the names of those lost and missing. The roll call of fifty eight thousand two hundred twenty nine souls, Echoes across the countryside, The silent whisper of the wind is all that my ears perceive. My vision is blurred by the well of tears that I cannot contain. The white letters of each name appears as a fog against the great onyx obelisk. I am shaken with profound awareness, As I place the paper over my loved ones name. The rubbing of the pencil transfers the letters, Embossed, there and on my heart and soul. These brave soldiers, sons, husbands, fathers, daughters, wives, mothers, Whisper to me, I lived, do not forget me. I am not alone, I step aside for another, They silently scrape the lead against the parchment, Leave a flower or a photo or a note. Silently they mourn. Silently they remember. Turn and walk away, then looking back tearfully, I Wonder how things might have been. They are not forgotten! Robert Hullender, First Cousin.

Mike was my brother and was loved deeply by family and friends. He will always be remembered for his smile and good humor. To this day people still recall him and the things he and his friends did for fun. Sheila Brown.

Michael is the pinacle of bravery and dedication. His efforts helped save the rest of us in his platoon. I am forever grateful to have served with Michael. Dan Young.

He is the Son of Mr Allan Duke Graham and Mrs Evelyn L Caveny Graham.

He served with Delta Company, 1st Battalion, 52nd Infantry Regiment, 198th Infantry Brigade, USARV.
