Tommy Dennis, 64, of Milano, the only child of Colgate Rice and Lillie Alma (Davenport) Dennis was born December 23, 1950 in San Angelo. On May 25, 1974 he and Terry Ann White were married in Houston.
While in Houston, Tommy worked as Chief Engineer for 13 years from 1976 to 1989 in the Rice Hotel laundry. They came to Milano in 1989 and Tommy began ranching raising cattle. He was a member of Meadowbrook Baptist Church in Rockdale, a member of Alpha Phi Omega Fraternity and member of the Christian Motorcycle Association.
Tommy passed away Monday, June 22, 2015 at his home in Milano.
He was preceded in death by his parents.
Surviving are his wife of 41 years, Terry Dennis of Milano; son, Torry Dennis and wife Hanna of Charleston, South Carolina; daughter, Tamra Vance and husband Stephen of Rockdale; five grandchildren, Hunter, Cody and Blake Vance, William and Aubrey Dennis.
Funeral services for are scheduled at Phillips & Luckey Funeral Home in Rockdale. Burial to follow in the Oak Lawn Cemetery in Rockdale. Rev. Russ Willis of Meadowbrook Baptist Church in Rockdale and Dr. Richard White of First United Methodist Church in Katy will officiate. Visitation is at Phillips & Luckey Funeral Home.
