Cremony at San Francisco November 18 and was mustered in as Private, Company B, 2nd California Cavalry, November 19, 1864 by Captain Andrew Jones Jackson, Provost Marshal, United States Volunteers; Doctor Levi Cooper Lane, Surgeon of the Board of Enrollment, was the Examining Surgeon of Recruit Mater (sic); appointed Corporal December 1, 1864; promoted Sergeant at Camp Union, Sacramento, California, June 6, 1865; mustered-out at Fort Churchill, Nevada, May 28, 1866.
