CRAMERTON — Alene McKeown Ellington, 76, 24 Lake Drive, died July 26, 2001, at Century Care of Gastonia.

She was a native of Chester, S.C., daughter and last remaining child of the late Addison Grady Sr. and Rosa Lee Vinson McKeown, a homemaker, longtime member of First Baptist Church of Cramerton, church librarian for 10 years, member and treasurer of Rose Sunday School class, treasurer of Cramerton Senior Citizens Club.

SURVIVORS: Husband of 54 years, Joel P. Ellington; sons and daughters-in-law, Joel "Terry" and Jane J. Ellington, Gastonia, Jeffrey E. and Patricia Ellington, Charlotte; grandchildren, Shannon E. Alexander, Gastonia, Zack Luttrell, Greensboro, Spencer A. Ellington, Charlotte; cousins, nieces and nephews

PRECEDED IN DEATH BY: Twin brothers, Alvin T. and Addison G. McKeown Jr.; brother, Bobby J. McKeown; sister, Eva McKeown
