Mrs. Zetau Bratton Bevens, wife of the Rev. M. C. Bevens, died at there home in Heber Springs, Sunday, December 1, of pneumonia superinduced by influenza. Her body was brought to Marshall on the north bound passenger train Monday and interment took place in the Marshall Cemetery in the afternoon after relatives had arrived on the southbound train.
She is survived by a husband, Rev. M C Bevens, pastor of the M. E. Curch Sout at Heber Springs, and one child, William Richard aged 2 years 5 months; a father, Dat Bratton, and the following brothers and sisters: Claude, Mrs. Dale Arne, Ima, and Raymond, all of whom were present t the funeral. Her mother died two months ago.
The funeral was in charge of Rev. R. L. Armor of Marshall; the funeral address was delivered by Dr. T. Y. Ramsay of Searcy.
Mrs. Bevens was born and reared near Marshall and would have been 21 years old the 22nd of next February. She was educated in the public school here and had taught a number of schools in our county. Since childhood she had been a Christian, and a member of the M. E. Church South at Marshall. On July 2, 1915 she was married to rEv. Bevens who was then pastor of the church here.
