Mr. Baker, 72, of 1125 Washington St., Huntingdon, died at 10:11 p.m. Thursday, Dec. 30, 1983, in J.C. Blair Memorial Hospital, Huntingdon, after a week-long illness.
 
Mr. Baker retired as a printer from Blair division of the Mead Corp. in September 1973, after 42 years’ service.
 
He was born Sept. 9, 1910, in Huntingdon, the son of George A. and Nora (Hoffman) Baker, and Dec. 12, 1931, in Huntingdon, married Ora M. Black.
 
Surviving are his wife, a son, Charles J. of Altoona; two grandchildren, two step-grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.
 
Also surviving are two sisters and a brother: Joseph C. andMrs. Margaret Hawkins of Huntingdon and Mrs. Cora Young of Green Valley, Ariz.
 
Mr. Baker was a member of First United Methodist Church,Huntingdon, where he served on the administrative board.
 
He was also a member of the Standing Stone Senior Citizens, Huntingdon, and Mead Retirement club.
