He was born in Fulton county on April 6, 1860. At the time of death he was aged 81 years, four months and three days. On September 27, 1892, he was united in marriage with Nora A. Hoffman, who preceded him in death in December, 1929.
Mr. Baker was a retired carpenter. A resident of Huntingdon practically all his life, for several years he had made his home with his son-in-law and daughter, Mr. and Mrs. Fred Hawkins. He was a member of the First Baptist church of Huntingdon.
Surviving are the following sons and daughters: C. Earl Baker, of Huntingdon; Hazel, Mrs. John Endres, of Altoona; George A. Baker, Jr., of Harrisburg; Joseph C. Baker, of Huntingdon; Charles A. Baker, of Huntingdon; Margaret, Mrs. Fred Hawkins, of Huntingdon. There are fourteen grandchildren. Mr. Baker was the last surviving member of his immediate family.
Funeral services will be held at Brown's funeral home on Monday afternoon at 2:30 o'clock, in charge of the Rev. H. W. Glanco, of the Fifteenth Street Methodist church. Interment will be made in Riverview cemetery.
The body may be viewed at Brown's funeral home after 7 o'clock this evening.
