Dorothy "Dottie Jean" Banman 88, of Easton, MO passed away Thursday December 5, 2013.
She was born on March 1, 1925 to Levi and Dorothy Larue (Homan) Coffey in Stewartsville, MO where she grew up and attended school.
Dottie Jean worked for Whitaker Cable in St. Joseph and later retired from the Missouri State Hospital in St. Joseph. She loved being outdoors, gardening and her flowers.
She was a member of the Freeman Chapel Free Will Baptist Church in Easton.
Dottie Jean was preceded in death by her parents, brothers, David and Curtis Coffey; sisters, Mary Lee Sutton and Adeline Whiteley.
She is survived by several nieces and nephews including a niece who was like her daughter Dottie Parkhurst and husband Jim; great-nieces and nephew whom were like grandchildren, Rusty Parkhurst and wife Jodie, and Lisa Parkhurst and Heather McManus; life-long friend Mary Nieman; other relatives and many friends.

Funeral Service: 11:00 a.m. Monday December 9th at Freeman Chapel Free Will Baptist Church.
Burial: Kerns Freeman Cemetery Easton, MO
Visitation: 6:00-8:00 p.m. Sunday December 8th at the Funeral Home.
