Dorothy Alderman 1907 2008 SPRINGFIELD - Mrs. Dorothy Eleanor (Lucy) Alderman, 100, of 225 Brickwood Blvd., Spring-field, died on Monday April 7, 2008, at Mercy Medical Center, Springfield. She was born in Monson on April 28, 1907, a daughter of the late James and Eva (Goodell) Lucy. She attended schools in North Adams, and graduated from Drury High School. She had lived in Springfield from 1941. Mrs. Alderman was primarily a homemaker, but had worked for the former Arnold Print Works, Adams, and the former Forbes & Wallace Department Store in Springfield. She was a member of the Wesley Methodist Church, Springfield, where she was a member of its Women's Guild. Her husband Harold A. Alderman whom she married on June 30, 1937, died on September 25, 1972. She is survived by; 2 Daughters Barbara Ann Alderman, with whom she made her home, and Carol E. Smith and her husband Thomas of Hampden; 6 Grandchildren, 13 Great Grandchildren, 1 Great Great Grandchild, and several nieces, nephews, grandnieces and grandnephews. She was predeceased by 1 Brother Lawrence Hubbard, and by 2 sisters Fern Cannity and Evelyn Porter Slade. The funeral will be held on Friday April 11, at 11:00AM in the PACIOREK Funeral Home, 13 Hoosac St., Adams, MA, with Rev. Donald E. Gray, Pastor of the First Baptist Church of Adams, officiating. Burial will follow in Maple Street Cemetery, Adams. Calling hours are Friday from 10:00AM until the time of the service.
