Viola married John Anthony Grubaugh in about 1933 and they had one child, Vance Miller Grubaugh, born in 1934. In 1940, Viola and John were living with John's mother and stepfather in Moline. John and Viola divorced sometime before 1946 when Viola married Oscar Coon. Viola died in 1975 and Oscar died 8 years later.
