Herbert Lee Parham Sr.,

GREENVILLE - Herbert Lee Parham, Sr., 74, husband of Betty Hope Parham,of 5 Windcrest Drive, died May 30, 2000.

Born in Spartanburg, he was the son of the late "Doc" Marion and Maude Willis Parham. He was Vice President of P.Y.A. - Monarch, Inc., where he was employed for 38 years and a charter member of Edwards Road Baptist Church. He was a volunteer with St. Francis Hospital, a Mason and a Shiner.

Surviving in addition to his wife are two sons, Herbert L. Parham, Jr. of Norris, and Michael Parham of Greenville; a sister, Lillie Mae Durham of Spartanburg; six grandchildren, Herbert Lee Parham, III, John David Parham, Thomas Neely Parham, Jennifer Hope Parham, Elizabeth Hope Parham and Autumn Kathleen Parham; and four great-grandchildren, Rebecca Parham, Lindsay Parham, Zachary Parham, and Abigail
Parham.

Services will be held today at 11 a.m. in Remembrance Chapel in Woodlawn Memorial Park, with Dr. Stephen Corts officiating. Visitation will be held today from 10 to 11 a.m. in Remembrance Chapel in Woodlawn Memorial Park. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Interim Hospice, 775 Spartanburg Blvd., Suite 101, Spartanburg, SC 296301; or to Edwards Road Baptist Church Mission Focus, 1050 Edwards Road, Greenville, SC 29615.
