CURWENSVILLE - The funeral for Kenneth Samuel Johnston, 23, of 527 Bloomington Ave., Curwensville, who died in an auto accident Thursday, April 21, will be held Monday at 11 a.m. from the Chester C. Chidboy Funeral Home. The Rev. M. Dayle Dickey and the Rev. Donald Drake will officiate. Interment will follow at Crown Crest Memorial Park.

Friends will be received at the funeral home from 2 p.m. Saturday until the time of the service.

He was born in Clearfield, April 21, 1954, and was a son of Woodrow and Helen (Cruikshank) Johnston.

A 1972 graduate of the Curwensville Area High School, he was a member of the National Honor Society and the Student Council. He graduated from the Indiana University of Pennsylvania in 1976.

He was active in the Curwensville Community Center and a Presbyterian by faith and was employed by the Pennsylvania Liquor Control Board.

Survivors include his parents, a brother Eugene of Curwensville R.D.; and his maternal grandparents, Mr. and Mrs. Samuel Cruikshank of Curwensville.

He was preceded in death by his paternal grandparents, William and Ardell A. Johnston of Berwinsdale.
