MONACA-Helen Joanne (Sovich) Seevers, 73, of Monaca, passed away and entered the gates of Heaven on Monday, Jan. 28, 2013, after a courageous eight-month battle with acute myeloid leukemia.

Born Dec. 20, 1939, in Ambridge, Helen was the daughter of the late Andrew and Helen (Lazor) Sovich. The youngest of three children, Helen always enjoyed a close and caring relationship with her parents and siblings, Andrew and Patty. On Aug. 9, 1969, Helen married her loving husband of 43 years, Frank V. Seevers. Eight years into their marriage, Helen and Frank had their only child, Brian. Words cannot adequately express the level of appreciation and love her husband and son have for the effort she put in, and ultimate success she had, in being a wife and mother.

Helen retired as a tax specialist in the Treasurer's Office of the Beaver County Courthouse in Dec. 2011, after 25 years of service.

Helen leaves behind to cherish her memory, her husband, Frank; her son, Brian (Sue) of Gibsonia, Pa.; her brother, Andrew Sovich and his wife Jean of Beechview, Pa.; her sister, Patricia (Sovich) Funkhouser of Oakdale, Pa., and stepdaughters, Linda and her husband Howard, Lorraine and her husband Art, Nancy, and Susan and her husband Ken. There are many other related family members and dear friends who loved Helen also.

Interment will follow in Sylvania Hills Memorial Park.
