Frances N. Tippett, 82, of Springfield, died at 8:50 a.m. on Sunday, January 13, 2013 at her home.

Frances was born May 12, 1930 in Springfield, the daughter of Frank and Concetta Pasquale Bartolozzi. She married Harold D. Tippett on June 4, 1949 in Springfield; he preceded her in death.

Frances was a graduate of Lanphier High School and worked in the supply room at Franklin Life. She had a passion for cooking and was known for her spaghetti and meatballs.

She was also preceded in death by her parents.

She is survived by her son, Terry Tippett of Springfield; two daughters, Diana (husband, Rich) Griffitts and Candy Tippett (fiancé, Robert Thompson), all of Springfield; four grandchildren, April (husband, Jack) Wolford of Springfield, Wendy Griffitts of Indianapolis, IN, Chad (wife, Hailey) Tippett of Florida, and Charles (wife, Aimee) Tippett of Washington; ten great-grandchildren; one great-great-grandchild; one brother, Dominic (wife, Marian) Bartolozzi; several nieces, nephews and cousins; and her special neighbors, Bob and Suzie Ausmus.

Visitation: Family will receive friends from 5:00-7:00 p.m. on Wednesday, January 16, 2013 at Kirlin-Egan & Butler Funeral Home, 900 S. 6th St., Springfield.

Funeral Ceremony: 11:30 a.m. on Thursday, January 17, 2013 at Kirlin-Egan & Butler Funeral Home. Burial will follow at Camp Butler National Cemetery.
