Mrs. Maxine Akin, daughter of the late Mr. James Lucas Judd and Mrs. Mildred Ada Adkins Judd, was born September 10, 1924 in Green County, Kentucky and departed this life at 10:30 at her home on Route 4, Campbellsville, Kentucky. She was 54 years, 11 months and nine days of age. She had made a profession of faith in Christ and was a member of the Bible Baptist Church in Campbellsville at the time of her death. She united in marriage to Mr. Finis Akin February 12, 1940, who survives. To this union was born one son: Gordon Akin, Campbellsville. Mrs. Akin is also survived by one brother and one sister: James L. "Buck" Judd, Elizabethtown and Mrs. Betty Lou Judd, Greensburg; two grandsons: Tommy Akin and Todd Akin, both of Campbellsville, and a host of other relatives and friends. The remains were at the Cowherd and Parrott Funeral Home where funeral services were conducted at 10 a.m. Tuesday, August 21, 1979 with burial in the Campbellsville Memorial Gardens. Rev. Gilbert Larimore officiated. Pallbearers were: Tommy . . ., Bobby Rogers, Ray Houk, Bernard Bagby, Henry May, and Raymond Pendleton.
