Pelion, SC Funeral services for Mrs. Minnie Mae Lawson, 78, of Pelion, SC, will be held Wednesday, November 14, 2012, at 11:00 am, in the Chapel of Kornegay & Moseley Funeral Home, 4645 Hard Scrabble Rd. Columbia. Burial will follow in Celestial Memorial Gardens.
Mrs. Lawson was born October 31, 1934, In Pooles Mill, SC, to the late Darling Fletcher and Deborah Flake McIver. She passed away surrounded by her loved ones November 9, 2012, at her residence. She was a wonderful and loving mother and grandmother and will be dearly missed by all who knew her. She was affectionately known by Mickey, Mom, Gannie Gannie,, or Granny. She was one of the most gneous, caring, and loving people to be known. She loved shopping, gardening, camping, spending time with her family, and simply enjoying life. She leaves behind all of the lives she has not only touched, but has changed forever.
She was preceded in death by her loving husband Clifford O'Neil Lawson.
Surviving are her children, Billy Lawson and his wife Vera, Little Mountain, SC; Joe L. Lawson and his wife Tammy, Blythewood, SC; Debbie Lawson and her husband BJ Makenzie, Pelion, SC; David Lawson and his wife Sandy Bailey, West Columbia, SC; Micky Lawson and his wife BJ Steel, Pelion, SC; eighteen grandchildren and fifteen great grandchildren.
