Clara Morris Becnel, 80, died November 30, 2012 at the University of Mississippi Medical Center. A graveside service will held at 1:30p.m. Monday, December 3, 2012 at Natchez Trace Memorial Park. Visitation will be from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. Sunday and 11:00 a.m. Monday at Sebrell Funeral Home. Clara was born on March 15, 1932, the daughter of the late Icie Decater Nowell and Mae Ola Nowell. Clara loved to sew, cook for her family, play bingo and fish. She was a member of the Church of God in Sumner, MS and attended Providence Baptist Church in Pearl. Clara was a member of the American Legion Post 112. She is preceded in death by her husband, Lester Becnel and son, Jimmy W. Morris. Clara will be remembered most as a loving mother, a devoted grandmother and a beloved sister. Survivors include: daughter, Linda M. Jaco of Pearl; son, James R. Morris of Webb, MS; daughter, Glenda Broussard of Lafayette, LA; son, Tony E. Morris of Jackson; son, Tommy Lee Morris of Pearl;16 grandchildren, 28 great grandchildren; brothers, Gerald Nowell of Stockbridge, GA and Bobby Nowell of Brooklyn, MS; sisters, Barbara Byrd of Laurel; Martha Billiot of Springs, TX; Nena Craddock of Laurel and numerous nieces and nephews.
