Elizabeth Emma Jane Allen of Nampa, born to Thomas and Mary Ann Croxen June 28, 1927, in Bayard, Neb., passed away on March 19, 2008, of natural causes.

Elizabeth was the second of seven children. In the mid 1940s Elizabeth and her family moved from Nebraska to Nampa to make their home.

In 1948 Elizabeth married Leonard D. Allen and they made their home in Caldwell. She had four children. She was a loving wife and mother. In the early years she was a stay-at-home mom and in 1969 Elizabeth went to work for JR Simplot Co., from which she retired.

Elizabeth loved watching Daytime Soaps, figuring out crossword puzzles, growing tomatoes in the garden and visiting with family and friends.

Elizabeth was preceded in death by her mom and dad, brother Richard Croxen, two sisters, Phyliss Croxen, Twila Lyons and her first born infant daughter Jennifer Allen.

She is survived by her husband Leonard D. Allen; three brothers, Thomas (Jean) Croxen of Hermiston, Ore., Jerry Croxen of Salem, Ore., and Ed Croxen of Hermiston, Ore. Surviving children are Jeanette Allen of Nampa, Doug (Zonia) Allen of Nampa and Nancy (Peter) Allen Duffy of California.

Elizabeth has seven grandchildren: Kim, Terry, Chris, Garrick, BriAnna, Kyle and Collin and five great-grandchildren: Alexus, Jaydon, Kayla, Cobhan and Riah.
We all miss her deeply and love her dearly.

Family and friends viewing is from 6-8 p.m. Monday, March 24, at Dakan funeral Chapel, Caldwell, 459-3629.
Graveside services will be held at 11 a.m. Tuesday, March 25, at Canyon Hill Cemetery; all family and friends welcome.

In lieu of flowers the family asks that friends and family make a donation to their favorite charity.
