Sallie's burial site is not known for sure, though we suspect she is also buried at the Gibbs Cemetery with her husband.

She was born in an area of now, Union Co when it was Craven County, which at the time was part of North Carolina, then became Old 96 District, Union District and finally Union Co SC.

She was the daughter of Rev Obediah & Priscilla Avery [Breed] Howard, once also of Union Co SC, and migrated to KY.

Sarah "Sally" Howard Gibbs married Zachariah Gibbs about 1796, in Union Co SC.

Anne was the only child of Zach & Sarah to leave South Carolina. She did have Gibbs first cousins in several Texas counties.

***There is a one page Bible Records that belonged to Rev, John Gibbs, Anne's brother,

It named the parents, and their children, the birth and death dates of their parents, and the birth year only of all the siblings. This one page records was found by a descendant, in TN, who was cleaning out his parents addict, after their passing.***

***Churchwell Gibbs left a 4 page family record, his mother is listed, and then his family.

There were 4 pages total. (only the 1st page is displayed on this memorial.

Zachariah and Sally are listed on a one page bible record, with their children. In a lost bible, Sarah's birth was listed as 25 Sep 1776 page 74, and Sarah Gibbs died: 8 Nov 1838 page 75, this bible had belonged to a Mrs Williams of Pauline SC.

"The birth and death records of Sarah are established from Bible records in possession of Mr Manning Williams, of Glenn Springs, SC. This statement in book Historical Southern Families vol III" (Now lost)
