Archie Rowe

A funeral for Archie Lee Rowe, 77, of Montrose, who died in his home Monday will be at 10:30 a.m. Thursday in the Schmidt-Vigen Memorial Home with Rev. Marvin Arnpriester officiating.

Burial will be in the Montrose Cemetery.

Friends may call after 2 p.m. today until time of service.

He was born Sept. 20, 1903, at Williamstown, Mo., a son of Peter R. and Clara Odbur Rowe. He married Frances Morris in 1931.

He was employed by Lee County for many years before his retirement.

Survivors include his wife; son William of Warsaw, Ill.; daughters Mrs. Joan Daggs of Montrose, Mrs. Donna Hudson of Alexandria, Mo., and Neomia Childress of Canton, Mo; brothers Alvin of Keokuk, and John of Joplin, Mo.; sisters Martha Mason of Gorin, Mo.; and Lula Sutter of Kahoka, Mo.; 19 grandchildren and 16 great grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by a daughter, three brothers, two sisters and a grandchild.
