Bio

I began my work with Find A Grave, as I imagine most others do, by adding the missing graves of my family. This soon grew into the desire to give back to others by taking any volunteer photos that I could in the cemeteries that I was already visiting.

Now I have several projects in the works in my limited free time. The biggest being the photographing and documentation of the local cemeteries in my immediate area. I have to say that which started out as a way to give back has turned out to be very rewarding. It makes me smile when I get simple thank-yous for the photos I submit.

When I was able to locate (through the guidance of many others) the first two graves that had eluded me. It was a very happy day indeed.

I mostly work around the Ohio counties of Gallia, Jackson and Vinton. If by chance I create a duplicate memorial please let me know. It is purely an accident in most cases. If not I will be happy to explain to you my reasons. Any transfers of family members will gladly be made, provided I am not related to them myself.

Feel free to use my photos but if you share them online please give me credit for taking the photo.

If I leave a penny on a veteran's grave it is because I visited them in person not just clicked on their memorial.
