I live in Garden Valley, ID. I grew up in the Boise area. |
I will transfer management of memorials in line with the Findagrave guidelines, which specify relatives in a direct line. Specifically, they say: "Transfer requests should be for direct relatives within four generations. This would be your siblings, parents, grandparents, great-grandparents, children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren. Any non-direct relatives (aunts, uncles, cousins, etc) are not required to be transferred."
NOTE: Please, when providing sources for any edits sent, keep in mind that seeing information in someone's family tree doesn't mean the information is accurate. Provide the records when possible.

I'm a researcher for my family of Shurtz's, and I need to know, if you know that this particular 'Ruby' was ever married to a Marvin Dale Shurtz (he died in a trucking accident in 1946) before marrying Gary Charles Kolsky. I believe Mr. Kolsky is still alive, but its not positive.
Any information would be very helpful.
Thank you, and GOD Bless!

Hi: I just sent you an edit request on this memorial and wanted to let you know what was behind it. The request I suggested was to be linked to her first husband, (Wallace) Gene Bayless. They were married for a long time when he divorced her and married Juanita Wallace. Donna Jean later married Don Conger. Thank you.

Born 1857 Died 1931. William was my grandfather. My father was named after him. I was glad that I finally found where he was buried and a marker for his grave.

|K Barrett||RE: William Fuller Downey - Nampa ID|
The source for William Fuller Downey is " the Brown Genealogy" by Cyrus Henry Brown, 1829.
He is listed on page 371 of Volume I. His father William Finley Downey was a farmer of Fairbury, Jefferson Co; Nebraska. William Fuller Downey was the 5th child of 6 born to William Finley Downey and Mary E Fuller Downey. It does not specifically state that he was born in Nebraska or Iowa for that matter. I was just making a good guestimate! Thanks for your inquiry and edits.

|Lorraine Hess||John Moss Tuttle & wife Susan Jane Tucker|
I don't know if you are maintaining the memorials for John Moss Tuttle and Susan Jane (Tucker) Tuttle who are buried in the Deepwood Cemetery, Henry Co, MO, but both their memorials show "not found" when the link in their daughter, Ida High's memorial is clicked on. Their names are shown as the parents of
Ida (Tuttle) HIGH #93340767 and Ida's memorial does not show up if her memorial number is typed in--you have to go to the Deepwood Cemetery and open it from there.
The link also does not work for Luther G. Tuttle, brother of Ida (Tuttle) High when you cick on it when in Ida's memorial.
I'm not sure if Find A Grave's transition to new changes that are coming soon is creating this problem or not---just thought you'd like to know and make any deletions/corrections/re-entries, etc.

|Jrigdon||PS: Jesse J Rigdon|
I have confirmed that the informant on her Death Certificate (Alva Bailey) was her mother's brother. That family had a rough time, no one had more than a third grade education and they all had menial jobs and three of the five children died before the age of 21. All of the children were born between 1897 and 1911 and their father died in 1912 so they were all still young when he died. Jesse died of encephalitis at age 19, a brother died of pneumonia at age 17 and another brother died of moonshine whiskey at age 20.

|Jrigdon||RE: William Albert Rigdon|
There are no other William Alberts in the Rigdon family and I currently have over 23,000 people in my family tree. Also this is the only Rigdon family in Idaho that I'm aware of. I've done a LOT of research of this family including his parents, his wife and her parents and their 5 children and I'm 99% sure that this is the right person. I've looked at the Death Certificates for all of his children as well as other records and all but one state that he was born in Kentucky.
BTW I FINALLY found his wife's grave (Find A Grave Memorial# 59924820). She remarried Wesley Francis Keeton and they're both buried in the same cemetery as William Albert Rigdon. I'm working on updating her Find A Grave information and will send messages with her Find A Grave # to the various Find A Grave webpage owner's of the other family members when I have a chance.
