I am researching African American families. Dixon/Dixsons, Flacks and Barnetts in Person Co. and Buncombe Co., North Carolina; Twymans from Virginia to Versailles, Woodford Co. Kentucky; Browns in Versailles, Woodford, KY; Reeds, Turneys & Carters in Bourbon Co., KY and Taylors in Mercer and Jessamine County, KY. Also, Reeds in Harris Co. Texas that originated from Bourbon County, KY. |
I add memorials in the hopes that someone might find a connection to their roots and memories of people from the past. It also gives people a chance to "visit" their loved ones final resting place; where in many cases, they could not do that physically due to distance, health issues, time constraints, etc. No disrespect is meant in the creation of any of these memorials.
Please keep in mind those of us who contribute to Find A Grave do so VOLUNTARILY. This is a hobby and done solely for the purpose of freely assisting people interested in doing research of their family history and/or genealogy.
If any family member of a deceased sees errors in information or want to transfer ownership of a Memorial that I have posted, please let me know and I will gladly do so.
GOD'S BLESSINGS TO ALL WHO ARE RESEARCHING AND POSTING.

Thank you for your kindness.I knew Timothy from his days at our school.Such a tragedy.Thanks for your dedication.
|Stephanie Dixon||Jeff Dixon|
I saw your post concerning Jeff Dixon's gravesite. Is this the same Jeff Dixon who was also the father of 12 children in Corydon, Kentucky? If so, Jeff Dixon is the father of my grandfather, Preston Dixon.
|Pat G. Hall||Fredrick Jerome Tanner|
I went to visit relatives in Hazel Baptist Church Cemetery today. Before I left, I saw where there were only 8 people without tombstone photos.
I wanted to make Hazel complete with photos since there were on a few without pictures.
I looked the cemetery over,but couldn't find Fredrick Jerome Tanner-- memorial # 69395631.
After adding my pictures tonight, I went to his page. It says:
On Thursday April 21, 2011 there will be calling from 5PM until 8PM at Stuart Mortuary. Funeral Services will be on Saturday, April 23, 2011 at 2PM in Greater Damascus Church of Christ Holiness in Hazel, Mississippi. Interment will be in City Cemetery.( Not in Hazel-Baptist Church)
I went to City Cemetery(Lake,MS) to see if I could find him. He is not listed there,either.
I would have taken a photo,but I don't know have a clue where to look.

Thank you so much. We're getting better as the years go by but having her go so soon, especially the way she did, tore the family up very much. But thank you.

This person has a Memorial in two different cemeteries. Are you sure this is correct?
|Jennybird||Eastside Odd Fellows|
Hello, I wanted to let you know that I have created a site for the Eastside Odd Fellows cemetery should you wish to transfer any from the main Odd Fellows site. Best Regards, Jennifer
|Tokisha Ingram||Gregory Daniels|
This is really thoughtful and I appreciate you including my beloved son, Gregory Daniels. This means a lot to me and my family, and proves that he will never be forgotten.
|Doris Albro||RE: Kayla Barrow|
I did not post this memorial. I only added the photo that was in the newspaper. You could contact the funeral home to see where she is.
|Theodore Maxberry||Thank you|
Thank you for your work. It is very much appreciated.
You are welcome. The gentleman that works at the cemetery led me directly to her grave. May your work be always easy and remembered with honor.
