Bio

I have been interested in both genealogy and history, and specifically Civil War history, for some time now. Since February 2000, I have maintained a web site dedicated to the 42nd Indiana Volunteer Infantry. Since that time I have been documenting all known gravesites of these veterans. It is my hope, at least in a small way, that this work will bring honor to those veterans who have risked so much to preserve our freedoms. I am also a member of the Sons of Union Veterans of the Civil War (SUVCW), Ben Harrison Camp # 356 in Indianapolis, IN. Our organization honors all veterans, and specifically Union Civil War Veterans. The SUVCW actively participates in the replacement or cleaning/repair of Civil War veteran's gravestones. To learn more please visit our camp web site: Ben Harrison Camp-SUVCW

Starting in 2006, I began learning about proper cemetery restoration techniques. Since then I have successfully cleaned and restored many gravestones.
