Are you related to James Henry Swindell? He is my great great grandfather.

Children named August Heinrich Stewener and George Herman Stewener are in Reform Cemetery, Pleasant Gap in Bates County, Missouri. Their surname is actually Stevener. Will you please connect them to their parents:

(Child) August Heinrich Stevener, Memorial #99261985

(Child) George Herman Stevener, Memorial #99262017

Anna M. Stevener, Memorial #99087752

Sally Medlen Bishop
Infant Hale, Bates Co, MO
This child may be Jacob Hale, age 1 month in 1860 and the son of Robert and Elizabeth Hale - no other information comes up for Jacob via Ancestry other than the 1860 census record and the same for his mother.

RE: Daniel W. Spangler Mem #7970701
Did I give this to you? I can't remember. Sorry if it's a duplicate.

I found a "Mortuary Notice" that I believe belongs to your Daniel Spangler. I followed a trail that led me to this. Wish I had written everything down. Sorry. Didn't think it would lead to anything. I'm trying to retrace some of it for you.

Here is the article:

Death of D. W. Spangler.

"Daniel W. Spangler died this morning at his home, Tenth and Douglas streets, of heart disease. He leaves a widow and eleven children. Spangler came to Bellingham seven years ago and has since made this city his home. The announcement of the date of the funeral has not been made as some of the children are not in the city."

Bellingham Herald (Bellingham, Washington) Tue, Sep. 18, 1906, Vol. 15, Issue 156, Pg. 2

I have also found several people who have him listed as Daniel Webster Spangler. I don't know where they got that info from. I tried emailing one, but it was an old email address.

Hope this helps in some way if I haven't already sent it.

A M VanWinkle
Larry, I don't know if it was you or someone else, but I've been trying to figure out who A M VanWinkle was now for several years! I periodically go back and review those items I'm unable to resolve and I was floored that someone had figured out it was a female and her name was Amanda Melvina Winders-VanWinkle.

As a result, I've submitted a change to link Amanda with her husband, Eldridge Vanwinkle, who died in 1913 in Hemet, CA. I almost feel as though I've finally been able to reunite this family. If you played a part in this, thank you very much!

Daniel W. Spangler Mem #7970701
Hi, I'm looking to connect some Spangler family members for my dad's cousin - a descendant of the Spangler family. I am looking for a Daniel Spangler born around 1845-1850. His middle initial is either N or W. I was wondering if you could tell me if this Daniel W. Spangler originated in Illinois or what his parents' or siblings' names are. Any info you can give me would be greatly appreciated! Thank you!

Lemuel Bearce, Sr.
Hi --- I sent a SAC earlier. --- There is a Missouri death certificate for David Lemuel Bearce, a son of Christopher C. & Rebecca Melton Bearce. (Born 16 Dec 1868 in Illinois & died 2 Dec 1957 in Bates County, Missouri) He is listed as the same age as Daniel Leonard Bearce in the 1880 Bates County, MO census and has the same birth date, according to his death certificate and Daniel's memorial. ---------His wife was Lucy Bellamy Bearce. I submitted family links through the edit tabs. ---- You can view the Missouri death certificates on-line. Could you please add the links ?

I want to thank you for photographing the grave marker of Esdel F. Tarrents at Teay's Chapel Cemetery in Deepwater, Henry Co. Esdel was the son of my great grandfather and great grandmother. My husband and I are both Find-a-Grave contributors and know how much time and effort it takes to do these memorials. Your service is very much appreciated. Bonnie Craig

RE: John Jamison
That sounds great thanks! I've run across research on the Jameson(Jamison ) Bourland marriage that says he was buried there and notes from sources but, like you, I can't prove it without finding records . I will look into that. Also , I'll see if I can't track down who Mary Jamison is and will get back with you. Thanks for the reply and your time. Doreen

Ambrose & Scott photos
Thank you so much for taking the photos for Joseph C. & Emily Miller Ambrose and their daughter Anna Scott wife of John Scott. It's been a long search to find Joseph C. Ambrose. He is my GG-Uncle born in Page County Virginia. We lost track of him so it's great to have some closer as to where he ended up.

Thank you for your efforts to locate and photograph his gravesite. His death certificate stated he was buried at Fields Creek Cemetery. Several of his children were also buried there, so apparently there is no headstone.

Reid's Cemetery
None of the names entered have been entered elsewhere in Henry Co. Almost all are infants, young children who may not have had gravestones. Suspect listings entered in cemetery are correct.
