|Dfer||Groom family of Ohio|
I research the Groom(s) family of Central Ohio. DNA testing shows that Job Groom (father of David Groom) and my ggg-grandfather Harmon Groom (b. 1775 in NJ) are very closely related.
Have you done DNA testing? Would be glad to share info.

I found him!!!!! He's in Pine Hill Cemetery in Gowanda, NY. I got the picture of the monument & we found it in Section B. Her picture of the monument was the back side with the front saying Kelley. Joseph is buried behind the big monument with a small one with his name on. And the Kelley's are related. Non of the family are in the 'Find a Grave' in Pine Hill Cemetery site, but the monuments are there. I did take pictures, but my camera battery quit & I need to go on a cloudy day because the sun spots made the picture I got lose a lot of details. Also I would like to take a brush to clean them. I will try to send them to you when I get them. Marta Cain

Sally Johnson just sent me pictures of the 2 monuments for the Daggetts. The one is so beautiful & large, I am positive Pine Grove Cemetery does not have them buried here. I went thru the record book & did not find them or any relatives. We only have 2 large monuments & not as beautiful. I still wonder if they are in Pine Hill as it looks like it in the background of the one picture. Pine Hill has over 2500 burials & is hilly with winding roads. I was wondering if maybe that part of the cemetery got missed? I will ride around Pine Hill & see if I can find it there. Will keep you posted. Marta Cain, President of Pine Grove Cemetery

Dear Joy, I am researching Joseph Daggett. I believe you may have made a memorial entry for him. Do you happen to have any more information about where in Pine Grove Cemetery he may have been buries or if there is any obituary on file? I am new to this type of research and am grateful for any help. Thanks again, Heather Delafield

|Bruce Sonner||Bell family|
I have followed your family tree in ancestry. I am related to you through Lewis Bell in Ohio. Lewis was the father of James Bell and to my GGG Grandfather Thomas Bell. Lewis had many children with his wife Mary Anderson. I believe that we are related. I would be happy to share information with you. Your work is very impressive, andI hope that with my information we can add to our family trees!

|Ross McIntyre||William Henry Lynn|
Joy - I was searching for some info on this person (who is my wife's 3G G-father)and came across the photo that you added. We are wondering if you are a descendent of Hullum Jones and William Henry Lynn. My wife's Grandmother was Helen Olive Jones.My wife is currently Regent of her DAR Chapter and had applied for a supplement through James Lynn and his father. Somehow I have mixed two Lynn families together and the application was denied. We are hoping that maybe you can shed some light on this.
If possible please reply by e-mail to Ross McIntyre
at email@example.com. Thanks for any help. Ross

|Judy Herring||Elijah Jones|
Hi Joy...we corresponded several years ago and I have lost contact info for you. I am working with Jeffery Jones to find more on the ancestors of Elijah Jones who married Martha Reed. Everybody seems to be at a standstill at that point backwards, some trying to tie him to New Jersey and the Doty family. I do not subscribe to that idea at all. Jeff is hiring a researcher at NEHGS to delve further into the search. We hope to come up with something soon. I understand that Edith Hebb died. He tried to contact her and get a copy of your book that you did with Edith. Anyway, I wish you would send me your email address so that we could keep in touch in case we find something of interest. Thanks for all your good work!

I found out that the memorial that I made was a duplicate, so could you please add the picture of her to the other memorial (64346969).

Just a note to tell you I have enjoyed looking at the family memorials and the old historic photos you posted along with them. I am a native of Colorado Springs and preserving our place in history is very important to me and many others.
What also caught my eye was Annie Bell Merrick's DAR symbol at the gravesite today when I was there in Evergreen Cemetery.

I went to Forest Hills Cemetery this afternoon to try to fulfill as many photo requests as I could (there are currently 50+ for this cemetery), but I was disappointed to learn that the office will look up the plot location of two names for free, but charge a prohibitively high fee of $15 for every two names after the first two. I wasn't able to take pictures for you this weekend, but I imagine if you call the Forest Hills Cemetery office during business hours (617.524.0128) or send them an email (email@example.com)they can give you the plot locations for free over the phone. If you find out the plot location, I'll be happy to photograph the headstone for you.

Is there a separate marker for these people or are they listed on the Cutler Monument with Reverend Harvey H.?

Is both Mary Sintons are the same person, I would think the easiest thing to do would be to request a transfer of May S Sinton and then delete it. That's what I would do anyway.

There is a Jude Young buried in the Woodbine Cemetery. He is buried with Elvira C. Young. They are buried in the same row with Alfred Cookman Lyon, David T. Lyon and Emily E. w/o David T. Lyon. I will photograph these the next time I go to the cemetery.

Please accept my condolences. Your mother led a long and productive life.
I must admit though, that I knew nothing of the connection to you when I took and posted the photos of her grave site. Lyman Hewins requested them on September 8, and they were among several such requests that I fulfilled the next day -- after over a week of heavy rain. I probably should have waited a few days more, because I came home from Arlington that evening covered in mud!
Nevertheless, it's gratifying that the pictures brought you and others pleasure.

Joy, still have not found anything hard to work on as far as earlier generations. We even have a Hester cousin who now lives in Germany and is working on this but he too has found nothing concrete.

You are correct that I have to rearrange the photos. I don't see an Ensign photo, but you can only have three photos on the first page, and usually at least one is the gravestone.
