Ruth Ann Jarrell Ricketts
Florence B. Allen
Hello Sir, I see you have done a memorial page for Florence B. Allen daughter of Isaac & Clarissa (Jerrel/Jerrolds/Gerald/McGerald) Allen and was wondering if you might have some information on her. She is the niece of my Grandfather William Ely (Jerrel/Gerald/McGerald) Jarrell. I am looking for Isaac & Clarissa after 1880 Stoddard County, Missouri Census. They are also the parents of Minnie Laura Allen Pelts which I believe is in your family line.

Thank you for your time and patience in this matter.

Hi James,

I received your email and I thank you very much. I didn't mean to be so abrupt. I had a much longer message, but didn't know if I should send it. I am on Ancestry my tree is "Bankston Malloy Family Tree. That Arkansas, Missouri corner is where my family settled when they moved from Georgia. I have lived in Arkansas as a child. I was born in Detroit, MI a lot of the relatives moved to Michigan. My Son-in-law has family in Flint, Their last name is Spainhower. I thank you for the work you do for Findagrave.com. I am 72 years old I hope there are others who know some of the family history. Are you connected to the Bankston family? I would be pleased to hear from you again. I may be able to share some information.

Best,

Donna

Hi James,

Since I left the last message I found a photo of J. H. & Louise (Louisa) McMillen Bankston's Head Stone that list the spelling as (Louisa). It is listed as Louise E. McMillen on Marriage record. Her children pronounced it as (Louiza). So I guess "Louisa" may be correct.

Thank you,
Donna

Opie Lee Bankston
Hello James,

My name is Donna. I have been searching the Dunlklin Co, MO Cemeteries for family. I was so happy to find, what I am certain is a long lost great Aunt. She was the last of her imediate family.

The information was listed as:
Liberty Cemetery

Opie Lee Bankston
Dec 5, 1911 - Dec 24, 1911
Daughter of: J. H. & Linsia (McMillod) Bankston

I could not correct it through edit.

It should be translated as:

Opal Lu Bankston
Dec 5, 1911 - Dec 24, 1911
Daughter of: J. H. & Louise McMillen

I would love to know if there is a picture of the stone. How could I get one if there is?

Best,
Donna

Organ Cemetery, Pemiscot Co., MO
Drove from Murray, Calloway County, KY today to Caruthersville, Pemiscot County, MO. Was searching for an obituary and grave site of William M. Story who was born in Calloway County, KY supposedly died February 28, 1892 and buried in Organ Cemetery in Pemiscot County, MO. Could locate an obituary on microfilm at the library and the road to the cemetery was flooded. Does William M. Story actually have a headstone? If so, is it upright? Is it easy to locate? Looks like I may to get out to the veteran's grave site in late fall. Thanks for your help.

Robbie Carnell Story
William Story
Hi James, It's been awhile. I've had my DNA done thru 'Ancestry' recently. I also placed my family tree there (Story/Lee). At William M. Story I have place a page from Robert Lee's ledger. It list the birth dates for all. Your date and my dates for William do not coincide. What is you thoughts on this? I tried to send you an email back - well it was a while back, but didn't get a response. Drop me an email:

RE: Liberty Cemetery
Probably best to leave it as is. If a close family member finds the memorials and has more certain info, we will just go from there. Take care, thanks.

I sure appreciate all the work you did in these cemeteries. You have listed a lot of my relatives that I knew were buried there but had not yet added them (Gothard (gathard), Sanders, Dawson, Pelts, and the list goes on. Thanks for all the foot work and sharing it with us. Tom Gothard Jr. Blytheville, AR

Thanks for linking parents. I was passing through SE Missouri last week and spent an all-to-brief half hour at Liberty Cemetery. I wish I could have stayed until dark, but it was not to be. I left there and drove to Jackson, TN, I waved and said a Thank You as I drove around Dyersburg, I guess you didn't see or hear me LOL. Thanks again for your efforts in Liberty Cemetery. Scott

George Brown
RE: Brown Family
Wesley, as you know there are lots of Browns and I don't know of any connections to your family. Most of my Brown families lived in Hardin County, Tennessee. My great-great grandfather moved to Webster County, Missouri and is buried at Good Spring Church Cemetery.

On my Bivens side of the family, some moved to Arkansas and are buried there. I don't know if you have connections to them.

If I can help you on either one of the families, let me know.

Lettie Kirby
RE: Sarah Catherine Godby Kirby
I am a Kirby and am always looking for more connecting lines. My GGreat Grandmother was Sarah Ann(Dalton) Kirby. So Sarah caught my eye on the new web site I mentioned. (Not a good site really, hard to figure out.) But the photos you have look just like the photos there. People steal mine from here and add them to www.Ancestry.com all the time. All I ask is my name attached... mostly I don't mind, but my personal family photos being used upsets me. Especially by someone very distant, who won't even acknowledge me. Back to Sarah... to the best of my knowledge, I am not related to your lines. But when I locate Kirby's, I just have to dig. My lines back up into 1790 MD. I have yDNA on file with a Kirby research group to try to connect some of the scattered families. If you would like more info, let me know. Best Wishes, Lettie
