Janice June Smith-Newcomb, age 74 of Knoxville, TN passed away Tuesday evening, September 18, 2012 in Mars, PA after almost 12 years with Alzheimers.
Janice was a loving mother and grandmother. She enjoyed quilting and baking for her family and was an avid candy maker.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Lloyd (Ted) Newcomb; sisters, Dorothy Smith Kagley, Mamie Smith Bridges; brothers, Robert Smith and Vernal Jack Smith.
Janice is survived by her children and spouses, Dr. Linda and Gary Scott Wenig and Lloyd and Kristy Ann Newcomb; grandchildren, Scott Nicholas Wenig, Jackson Lloyd Wenig, Kiley Pearl Newcomb; brother, Billy Joe Smith and family; sisters-in-law, Fern Smith and Doris A. Newcomb; many nieces, nephews and cousins.
The family will receive friends 11:00 a.m. to 12:45 p.m. Saturday, September 22, 2012 at Click Funeral Home Farragut Chapel with a Celebration of Life to follow at 1:00 p.m. with Rev. Tom Markwood officiating. Graveside Services will follow at Grigsby Chapel United Methodist Church Cemetery.
