BETTENDORF--- William H. Bayles, 81, of Riverdale died Tuesday at the Americana
Home, Davenport. Funeral services will be held on Thursday at 10 a.m., at the McGinnis Chapel, Bettendorf. Burial will follow in Memorial Park Cemetery, Muscatine.
Born Feb. 9, 1890 in Muscatine, he was the son of Moses and Nancy Bayles. In 1946 he married Ruth E. Perkins in Muscatine.
A member of the Odd Fellow's Lodge, Davenport and the Knights of Pythias, Muscatine, he was a retired electrician.
He was a 41 year member of the Knight of Pythias, Muscatine, and the Odd Fellows Lodge of Davenport.
Surviving are his wife; one step-son Morton Perkins, Muscatine; one step-daughter, Mrs. Adeline Norman, Coldwater, Mich., and six grandchildren.
Visitation began at McGinnis Funeral Home at 3 p.m. today.
For some reason he changed his last last name to Bayles when it should be Bailes.
