Charles Capper, 88,
Dies at Monticello
MONTICELLO— Charles Capper,
88, of Beach Drive in Monticello
died at 6 a.m. Wednesday
at the Monticello Nursing
home. He had been a patient
at the home for two months
and ill for one year.
Born July 22, 1876 in Grant
county, he was the son of
Meredith and Lucy Lee Capper.
His marriage on Nov. 29, 1899,
was to Emma Roach, who died
in 1929.
Survivors include three sons,
Clarence, Carl and Lloyd of
Monticello; four daughters, Mrs.
Florence Nicewander, Yeoman;
Mrs. Fay Roberts, Monticello;
Mrs. May Babich, Mishawaka;
Miss Dorothy Capper, Fort
Wayne, 16 grandchildren and 24
great-grandchildren.
Funeral services will be at
10:30 a.m. Saturday at the Miller
funeral home. The Rev. Ro-
bert Ross will officiate and burial
will be in the Riverview
cemetery. Friends may call after
3 p.m. Friday.
