She was born in the neighboring town of New Bremen, April 15, 1851, daughter of the late William and Mary Hoch Werner. At the age of two years the family moved to Lowville, where she had since made her home. She was married when, a young girl to James M Henry, Lowville business man, whose death occurred many years ago. Mrs Henry followed the occupation of dressmaking for about 70
years and through her work had a wide circle of acquantances. She continued her activities until the time of her illness.
Mrs. Henry is survived by one sister, Mrs. Margaretta W Grant, who resided with her in Elm street, and two nephews, K. W. Haviland, of Deer Lodge, Mont., and William Werner
Alexander, of State Center, Iowa. Mr. Haviland arrived in Lowville Monday evening prior to her death, having come to Utica by plane from Montana. Several great grand nephews and nieces also survive.
Private funeral services were conducted from the home Saturday morning,with Rev. Walter L Bennett, rector of Trinity Episcopal church, of which Mrs. Henry was a member, officiating. Interment was made in Rural cemetery.
