Woodsfield, Feb. 10-Edison Moore, aged about 50, junior member of Moore and Blowers Undertaking establishment at Beallsville, died at 5:20 Saturday evening, at the home of his sister, Mrs. James Phillips, just north of Beallsville. He had been ailing with cancer of the liver for several months, and while death was expected, it came as a shock to his legion of friends. He was active in civic affairs, and a community booster and leader of ability. His passing is a distinct loss to Beallsville and the county in general
Included among those bereft is a sister, Mrs. James Phillips of Beallsville and Rev. M. Moore and Luther Moore of Kansas. Both are brothers.
Funeral services were held from the Belmont Ridge Christian Church Monday afternoon and were featured with unprecedented attendance. Burial was made in the Belmont Ridge Cemetery.
