John Loren (Dick) DeLoach, 67, passed away February 5 at his residence. The Evans County native lived here all his life and was of Baptist faith. He was retired from civil service at Fort Stewart. He was a Vietnam Veteran and also served in Georgia National Guard. He was a Mason and Shriner. He was preceded in death by his father, Will DeLoach.
Surviving are a son, John (Sherri) DeLoach of Stockbridge; two daughters, Linda Sellers of St. Augustine, FL. and Tara (Henry) Flake of Waynesboro; mother, Myrtice DeLoach of Claxton; brother, Beecher DeLoach of Townsend; two sisters, Vera Fell of Las Vegas, NV. and Joanne Sharpe of Claxton; seven grandchildren, several nieces and nephews.
Funeral services will be held Wednesday, Feb. 8, 11 a.m., at Mellie NeSmith Funeral Home Chapel. Burial will be in Antioch Church Cemetery. Mellie NeSmith Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
