- h/o "Ada"

- variation in info: info posted is per his official DC which displays b.d. as 1875 and cemetery as "San Grove" - data may or may not be accurate.

- dates on marker also vary from cemetery record data & DC data.

- per WWI Draft record, Frank himself gives his d.o.b. as March 4, 1874.

- per TXDC he was the s/o Monroe Mauldin & Sallie Brown - Informant was John Hairston, relationship to Frank Mauldin (if any) is not known.

His foster parents are:
James D Casey # 41135636
Mary Susan Sproles Casey # 41149623

*** info below originally left with flower token & submitted by another member:

"Frank's birth parents are said to be Monroe and Sallie (Brown) Mauldin. Frank was a "foster child" of James D. and Mary Susan (Sproles) Casey. The Casey's (who had no children of their own) raised Frank (an orphan). He is listed with them in the 1880 Milam County, Texas, census. Frank married Sarah Jane White on Jan 21, 1895 at Burleson Co., Tx. Their children were Thomas Jefferson and Oliver Isaac, both born in Lee County. In 1906 Frank married Frances A. Williams at Milano in Milam County. Their children were: Maudie Faye, Allyne Frank Jr, Monroe B. and Nolan." --- sam sproles --- Added: Jan. 12, 2011
-------------------------------------------------

→ The comments above says Frank married Sarah Jane White. Per TXDC for a child who was born in 1892, the mother's name was Sarah Ann White. Due to the 1892 d.o.b. for that child, the marriage date of Frank and Sarah may or may not be accurate. Either the d.o.b was wrong or the marriage date was wrong.

NOTE: Suggestion was made Nov 16, 2016 by Vicki Ragan Harris (#46900094) that the birth father of Frank was named Thomas "Tom" Mauldin who is listed as an unknown burial #157000110. Vicki feels that Frank's death certificate data is incorrect or incomplete since the informant doesn't seem to be a relative and therefore possibly didn't know correct or full name of parents. She states, "I am not real sure what his name was...maybe it was Thomas Monroe Mauldin. That would solve a lot. ....

Since most families of early years followed a naming pattern, this is certainly a possibility.

Dec 2017, continued comments pertaining to info above by same contributor: his parents are definitely Thomas and Elizabeth Jane Miller, as they are documented in the 1870 Oktibbeha County, Mississippi census as the parents of his brother, Munroe Bestus memorial# 21332203. Thomas' memorial number is 157000110 and Elizabeth's is 157000493.

NOTE: both parents as named above are entered as "burial unknown".

Further comments by contributor Vicki Ragan Harris (#46900094): After the war, their father had lost everything, so he put his three sons in a cart and pushed it from Mississippi to Texas. {Vicki states she has this family story on a video recording from his (Frank's) daughter.]

Per Sam Sproles, who is related to the Sproles family that adopted both Frank and his brother.
Munroe Bestus was a foster child of Thomas J and Emily Jospehine Sproles. The Sproles raised Monroe (orphan). Both brothers were raised by Sproles relatives."
