Leonora Martha Anna Hel-berg Brandt was born into a pioneer Garfield County family on July 6, 1915, on the homestead farm near Breckinridge, OK and died Aug. 20, 2006, in Enid, OK at the age of 91 years. Her parents, Wilhelm Helberg and Bertha Geffken Helberg predeceased her.

On April 23, 1933, she married Cecil F. Brandt in Perry, OK. They farmed in the Enid area for over 50 years.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband Cecil, her sisters and brothers, Norma Pralle, Erna Lemke, Wilheimine Helberg, Henry Helberg, Ernst Helberg, Melvin Helberg and Wilbert Helberg.

She is survived by four daughters, Lois Brandt of Moore, Juanita Campbell of Enid, Gloria Michael and husband Jim of Bethany and Evelyn Restivo and husband Joe of Maypearl, Texas. She also always considered Carobelle Janssen Carson as a daughter.

Leonora was the beloved grandmother to eight grandchildren: Susan States and her husband Jay of Hennessey, Carla Burdick and her husband Chris of Enid, Patty Campbell of Wichita, KS, Cecil Michael and his wife Shelly of Yukon, Nancy Jenkins and her husband Shane, and Charlie Michael and his wife Stacie of Edmond, Mary Jane Walker of Moore and Angela Restivo of Euless, Texas.

To Leonora's 12 great-grandchildren, she was known as Granny, the name she chose to be called. The great-grandchildren are: Stacia States, Richard and Cayla Burdick, Ben and Bill Christian, Cale and Tate Michael, Brandt Jenkins, Hannah, Elizabeth, Abagail and Seth Michael. She also is survived by many nieces and nephews and extended family.

She was a lifetime member of St. Paul's Lutheran Church of Enid and a member of the Harmony Home Demonstration Club in Garfield County. For many years she worked at C&C; Fabrics and Thorpe's in Enid.

Funeral services will be 2 p.m. Thursday, Aug. 24 at St. Paul's Lutheran Church with Pastor Paul Hass officiating. Burial will follow in Memorial Park Cemetery in Enid under the direction of Ladusau-Evans Funeral Home. The casket will be opened until service time. Family visitation will be 6 to 8 p.m. today, Aug. 23, 2006, at Ladusau-Evans Funeral Home Chapel.

Memorials may be made to St. Paul's Lutheran Church with Ladusau-Evans Funeral Home acting as custodian of the funds.
