Marvin Edward Kassube, a lifetime resident of Macomb County, died peacefully Saturday evening surrounded by the love of his family in Select Specialties of Macomb, St. Joseph Hospital East, Mt.Clemens. He was 74 years of age.
Marvin was born on September 3, 1930, a son of the late Frederick and Linda (Oehmke) Kassube. He was united in marriage to Kathleen Ahrens on August 30, 1952 in St.John Lutheran Church of Fraser. The couple lived together in Fraser until her death on June 29, 1997. Marvin had worked in cement construction for W.C. Peters, Kaufman and Viking Construction retiring at the age of 60. He worked four more years in landscaping for Shultz Estates before his final retirement at 64. Marvin was a former long time usher and member of St. John Lutheran Men's club. He enjoyed gardening, woodworking and traveling. Marvin was an avid Red Wings and Nascar fan. He was a quiet and simple man who loved his family and will be deeply missed by the many who knew and loved him.
Marvin is survived by his loving children, Richard F. (Kathleen) and Robert Kassube; his grandson, Richard M. Kassube; his sisters Donna (Ben) Roberts and Elaine (Larry Kukuk. He was preceded in death by his devoted wife, Kathleen and by brother, Fed "Fritz".
