Died Monday, Dec. 10, 2001 at the Allegan County Medical Care Facility. Mrs Morse was born June 18, 1925 in Zeeland Township, MI, the daughter of John and Wilemina (Zoet) Seekman. She had been a member and past president of the Women's Relief Corps and a life member of the Hopkins VFW.
She was a crossing guard for the City of Allegan for 8 years.
Surviving are 4 children, Janice Misner and friend, Ernie Horton of Plainwell, Wayne and Pam Penny of Kalamazoo, Larry and Betty Penny of Allegan, David Morse and friend, Beverly Frost of Allegan: 11 grandchildren, 3 step grandchilden, 15 great-grandchildren, 5 step-great-grandchildren, 3 brothers, Harley "Bud" and MaryLou Seekman of Otsego, John Seekman of Otsego, Richard and Jane Seekman of Marshall. 2 sisters, Joan Button of Otsego, Dorothy and Robert Hunt of Allegan. several nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Floyd Morse in 1970, her parents, and 2 sistes, Eddie (Edna) May Tripp and Shirley Boss.
The family will receive friends Wednesday from 2-4 and 6-8 p.m. at the Gordan Funeral Residence Allegan Chapel where Services will be held Thursday 11:00 a.m., Pastor Jack Eitelbuss officiating. Interment Mallory Cemetery, Trowbridge Township. Memorial contributions may be made to the American Heart Association.
