Edwin Collier, who has lived for eight years on his present farm in the town of Morris, was born in this town in 1843. He is a son of Aaron Burr Collier, born in the same town in 1812, and grandson of Lyman Collier, a native of and a farmer of this State, who died at the home of his son, Aaron Burr Collier in 1859, aged sixty six. Lyman Collier married a Miss Turtloot, a native of Wales, and by her had six sons and four daughters, who reached adult age. Harrison Collier, their third son, is now living in the village of Morris, about seventy-eight years of age, Major Collier is a farmer of South Dakota; Mary, widow of James Phelps, is living with her daughter in the town of Morris, and is eighty years old. The mother of these children died in the prime of life.
