Born Velura Clarice Snyder, Lou was the youngest of nine children of Phillip Snyder and Louisa Pierce. She was a wonderful lady and lived her 101 years to the fullest. She was married to the late Hollis Whitson Russell.
Services were held at the Thomasville cemetery with the Rev. Chris Fitzgerald presiding.
She was survived by two daughters, six grandchildren. seven great-grandchildren, and her very special caregiver.
