I have recently been working to update my genealogical records, using Find-A-Grave as a cross reference, and as a result have also been linking and updating folks on Find-A-Grave. I try to add a note to support requested links or suggested edits, but if I haven't, and you don't see how I arrived at that information, please ask! Thanks! -- Updated 10 July 2023

Please note, obituaries are copyrighted by the newspaper in which they are published. I do not add obituaries that are less than 75 years old (the standard period covered by copyright in the U.S.) without proper copyright attribution to the source, and I will edit obituaries to omit the names of living relatives.

I have been a family genealogist for the past 40+ years, and have collected a lot of information in that time.

I was born and raised in Davidson County, NC, and most of my research is centered on Davidson County, NC, and the surrounding area, although I now live in Chapel Hill, NC.

Both of my parents passed away in 2009, and it was finding that a friend had added memorials for them here that got me started at Find-A-Grave.

I used the database to locate the grave of my maternal grandfather's sister at a small country church near Chapel Hill, and decided that it was so nearby, I just had to visit. I ended up photographing all the memorials I could find there and posted everything here! I was hooked!

My next "whole cemetery" was the small cemetery at the orphanage where my mom grew up.

Except for that, most of my Find-A-Grave contributions so far are memorials for people I'm related to, one way or another. Only in the south would you consider the "step-half sister of the grandfather of the wife of your 3rd cousin twice removed" still a "cousin"!
