Wayne Kidwell, St., 80, 38 Liberty St., Tiffin, died at 10:34 a.m. Friday, March 6, 1992, at Mercy Hospital.
He was born May 5, 1911, in Bucyrus to Charles and Effie (Shaw) Kidwell. They are deceased.
On June 14, 1944, he married Golda Keckler Cole. She died in 1982.
Surviving are five sons, Wendell Wayne, Jr. of Florida, Dennis R., Kevin Sr. and Joe all of Tiffin and Dana A. of Carey; a daughter, Mrs. Joe (Ginger) Ward of Tiffin; three stepsons, James Cole of Carey, William Cole of Hawaii and Gary Dean Cole of Upper Sandusky; a stepdaughter, Mrs. Glen (Donna) Crawford of Upper Sandusly; 16 grandchildren; 16 step-grandchildren; three great-grandchildren; and 17 step-great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by four brothers, Charles, Ozzie and two other as children, and a sister, Enid Kidwell.
He was an electrician at Pettibone for 19 years and also was a carpenter and construction worker. He was a member of the United Methodist Church, Bucyrus, and a former member of the Eagles and Moose.
He served in the U. S. Army during World War II.
Services will be at 10 a.m. Tuesday at the Turner-Engle Funeral Home, with the Rev. Albert Spragle officiating. Burial will be in Spring Grove Cemetery, Carey.
Friends may call 7 to 9 p.m. Monday at the funeral home. Memorials may be made to the Kidwell Memorial Fund in care of the funeral home.
