Gale Edward Davis
Gale Edward Davis 75 of Clarence,formerly of Macon, died Monday, March 23, 2009, at the Harry S. Truman Memorial Veterans Hospital in Columbia.
Memorial service will be 2 p.m. Monday at the Missouri State Veterans Cemetery in Jacksonville.
Gale was born Sept. 20, 1933 in College Mound, The son of Leonard and Laura Mabel(Williams) Davis.
He is survived by two children, JoAnn Holliday of Macon and Russell Davis of Macon, three grandchildren, three sisters, Doris Riley of Elmer, Beverly Ochell of Butler and Donna Norman of Olathe, Kan.,
one brother, Rex Davis of Macon, several nieces and nephews.

Gale was born Sept. 20, 1933 in College Mound, The son of Leonard and Laura Mabel(Williams) Davis.

He Attended school in Macon and enlisted in the U.S. Air Force in 1950. He served in the Air Force for over 15 years in Germany, England and the United States, finishing at Andrews Air Force Base as part of the ground crew with Air Force One.

He is survived by two children, JoAnn Holliday and her Husband. Dennis Norris. of Macon and Russell Davis and his wife. Tami of Macon, three grandchildren, Jacob and Clayton Norris of Macon and Richard Comer of Joplin, Mo. three sisters, Doris Riley of Elmer, Beverly Ochell of Butler and Donna Norman of Olathe, Kan.,
one brother, Rex Davis of Macon, several nieces and nephews.

Gale was passionate about country music.
In his younger years he spent a lot of his time playing in a country western band and was an accomplished musician playing guitar, banjo and the piano and he could really sing.
Most recently he opened the "Ace of Clubs" where he became friends with many many people.
Gale was quick-witted and had a great sense of humor.
The last thing he said as we left the hospital was "Don't pay the ransom"
